Collection 2023 – Elle Venturini previews!

No, it’s not a joke; rather it is a fully cognisant challenge and approach to design as it relates to clothing.

Collection 2023 is the title of a work in progress, which is taking shape in a manner unrelated to the frenetic pace of the fashion system, and is unfolding according to personal rhythms, experiments, tests, exercises, inspirations and technical creative problems as well. It is in fact only a single person organizing small teams and suppliers of raw materials to face the challenge of handling out of the ordinary requests. This is about how an artisan-designer is working with the sole ambition of placing her knowledge, enthusiasm and in-depth experience to use in the world of art and international design with her own creations. And it is especially about the pleasure and joy that comes from knowing how to make and create without pressure, other than that which may come from the anxiety of watching one’s own creations come to life. This is the atmosphere that characterizes and pervades the work of the Friulian designer, Elle Venturini.

Despite unquestionably strong local origins, these clothing lines immediately evoke the experimental spirit of the Japanese school and European avant-garde culture.

This modernity materializes in asymmetric shapes, in expert and generous overlapping of fabrics, so that dress, skirt, outerwear or shoulder bag never merge into a single expression, yet always mange to rise above the monotony of established looks. Even better, they are suited for our uses and further interpretation.

These are open works, where great attention has been paid to the complexity of the seams, cuts and closures; they have been systematically designed to show as little as possible and, at the same time, to last as long as possible.

Elle Venturini’s talent and creative rhythms invite us to get involved and collaborate with what may just be a unique item made especially for us.

Here below are some technical notes:

Leather: full-grain leather. This term describes leather that has not been treated to correct or cover the grain, the most valuable part of the leather (it is completely aniline finished)

Fabrics: strictly natural and high quality, some receive vegetable surface treatment (resin finish)

Packaging: crafted tailoring of single items, with a prevalence of English seams, which mean that the clothes may even be worn inside-out.

Versatility: each item can be customized, by size, colour and finish.

Quantity: Each item is numbered.
